“We had enough with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, we give them away our community for free, we feed them with nice pictures and stories and they try to sell it back to us inefficiently” says Jacques von Polier — Raketa’s creative director.
Raketa — as any brand — understands well the importance of managing well its supporters, customers and community. That’s why Raketa is launching in the coming days a new social network. They have been working on it secretly for one year. Influenced by Tinder, Instagram, and Whatsapp, Raketa’s new app is dedicated to owners of Russian Raketa watches but also generally to the ones loving Russian culture and values that are the main values of Russia’s most famous brand.
The idea is simple, with the Raketa app, that you be in Moscow, Paris or New-York, you can see in a click who is around you having a Russian wristwatch or just willing to share photos and ideas on the topic “Russia”. It is almost like a “Tinder” for Russian enthusiasts.
Influenced by Tinder, Instagram and Whatsapp, the new application called «Raketa Russian Community» is based on a very strong use of geolocation (as Tinder or Uber), enabling you to meet and interact with people around you that share a strong interest for Russia, whenever you are.
Even though RAKETA watches are very traditional and fully mechanical, this dedicated App will allow owners of mechanical watches to interact with even more fun than if they had a connected apple watch.
RAKETA clearly welcomes anyone, even the ones not having a Russian watch, to meet each other, discuss and share more generally their Russian soul.
Now available in a test mode for Android on Google Play and available for Iphone on the App Store. (links to download below)
In association with Konnekto, a new company with 15 programmers, Raketa is confident that this app may also be very interesting in the near future to other brands having a great interest in managing their community — this concerns fashion brands, celebrities, universities, sport clubs etc… many brand with a great fan club understand that the way they communicate with their fans through Facebook, twitter or email is inefficient and it is time for them to enter a new age!
The Petrodvorets Watch Factory «Raketa», Russia’s oldest factory, was founded by Peter the Great in 1721. The Factory is producing watches under the brand «Pobeda» (Victory) since the End of World War II. In 1961 the brand «Raketa» was launched in honor of Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.
The Petrodvorets Watch Factory is one of the rare watch factories in the world that fully manufactures its own movements from A to Z, including hairspring and escapement.
